We had such great experience with Scott he’s professional and he’s doing his job with a lot of pleasure and passion. It was actually my birthday and he made it A memorable one. He truly enjoys what he does and I think that’s what made our experience so great. He took us to so many wonderful places and even a great lunch spot that I will never forget. If you’re looking to have fun and be guided by a person who genuinely enjoys what they’re doing you found the right place. His wife Julia bake us cookies which were so delicious. This is a great team and You or to your self to experience the blue mountains and all that Sydney has to offer with people who genuinely care.🙏

We were picked up promptly at 7:30am in a spacious and comfortable vehicle by our guide Scott. This enabled us to get to Featherdale Wildlife park early and really enjoy the Australian animals on display at their best. Scott took some excellent photos and footage of this experience which we enjoyed far more than we anticipated. Our tour carried on to the Blue Mountains but unfortunately the weather deteriorated so that we could not take in Scenic World. Nevertheless we had an enjoyable lunch and drive in this beautiful area with our guide being very knowlegeable on where to go. By way of compensation for the mist covered views we returned early to Sydney and he took us around the city pointing out areas of interest which we would not have visited otherwise. He was a most entertaining guide who made an enjoyable and successful day for us. We also appreciated receiving emails ahead of our departure from the UK updating us on the impact of the bush fires and alleviating any concerns we might otherwise have had about proceeding with the tour. A very thoughtful and helpful company to do business with.

Nick arrived promptly at the designated pickup time at our hotel. He offered us water, and ensured the air temperature, as well as the radio were to our liking, in the beautiful Audi SUV. He explained our itinerary for the full-day tour. After easily navigating the Monday morning rush hour in Sydney, we were on our way to our first exciting stop: Featherdale Wildlife Park. Due to arriving before 9am, we witnessed many of the animals being fed, and just waking up for the day. An added benefit of being so early: there were NO CROWDS! We were the only ones in the very interactive kangaroo experience, being allowed to feed them, pet them, and take photos; all while being inside their fenced-in area, which is allowed. Our guide mentioned the kangaroos are not as interactive later in the day, so we were happy we were there early. We also saw koalas, crocodiles, and Dingos! Our following stops included “secret” panoramic viewing areas only accessible via small dirt roads, as well as an early century mountaintop hotel for coffee. After having a “Pie” for lunch at a great bakery, we were off to Scenic World. Once again, because we toured on a Monday, there were almost no queues to wait for the three exciting attractions, which immerse you in the stunning landscapes of the rainforest, mountains, cliffs and waterfalls. In total, we saw the popular “Three Sisters” from three different viewing angles. After a total of almost TEN stops, we were on our mid-afternoon journey back to Sydney. Nick also offered one additional stop near our hotel for a quick photo from a different perspective of the Sydney Harbor Bridge, Opera House, and downtown skyline. We highly recommend this private tour. We especially loved the secret panoramic viewing spots as well as the flexibility to modify the planned stops.

Let me start this review by saying that weather affected what we could see and do, but in that light we still had an amazing 5-star trip thanks to Scott and Sydney private day tours. First Scott was right on time to pick us up at the Sydney Harbor Marriott. He had a large Toyota SUV and with 4 of us traveling it was full. His mini van had a mechanical issue so we had to sit 3 in the back seat of the SUV. For a 4 people tour I would recommend a 3 row seating setup like you find in mini-vans. We coped fine, but it was tight. Our first stop was at Featherdale Wildlife park. We got there early and beat the buses which allowed us to feed and interact with animals not dulled by a day filled with tourists. This place was amazing and was really focused on NATIVE animals. we got to handle Koalas, pet Wombats and fed Wallabies and Kangaroos. The bird life present was amazing. Scott also took pictures and has already dropped them to us! We spent a good 2-3 hours there and were really amazed at the diversity. Scott provided snacks and drinks. From there we proceeded to lookouts at 2 different Blue Mountain locale's , but were disappointed with extremely foggy conditions. Scott chose to take us to lunch at a traditional Aussie restaurant off the beaten path. This was included in the tour(Though not indicated so on the Trip Advisor ticket). That food was very good and was enjoyable. After lunch we tried again with the Blue Mountains, but fog was too heavy. On the fly Scott decided to save our day by giving us the most amazing tour of Sydney. We had done the "hop on hop off tour" and found out how limited it was after Scott took us around. He took us to the Naval Base and the "original Meat Pie " Restaurant there. We went to Mrs. McQuarsey's chair and park, 3 locations along the Harbor with the most amazing views of Sydney and gave us a complete history and description of the Harbor area. All this is why we give this trip a 5 star rating. Scott made the tour and we are 90% sure that we will take individual tours going forward despite their expense. Considering the high cost we do think there needs to be a note about weather issues and how that would impact the tour. The trip advisor page says that the following is included: "Entry Fees to the world Cable Car and scenic railway". Due to weather we could not do this, though we went by the location. All fees related to the Blue mountains were included but due to the fog we could not do any of these. I'm not sure that there were fees for all attractions, like admission to the national parks, but due to fog we just lost out on this part of the tour and we understand that. The trip advisor ticket includes fees to an Aboriginal Cultural Show and performance. That company had gone out of business and should not have been included as a feature. Scott took us to an old Aussie pub and bought us beers and wine at the end which was not mentioned in the inclusions. We recognize that weather can screw a tour and fortunately weather in Sydney was quite different than in the Mountains. Scott MADE this tour a great one despite those conditions. The value of what we paid for this day was not great because of weather, but Scott managed to save this day and make the money we spent worth it.Scott also communicated with us before the tour keeping us apprised of the fire situations.

Scott was one of the best tour guides I have had anywhere. He was friendly and so knowledgeable. He was enthusiastic and showed us amazing sights and shared such great experiences. I’ll never forget how exciting it was to feed kangaroos! Scott also took us for a delicious Australian meat pie lunch. Scott went all out for us and made our day in the Blue Mountains a great day and one we’ll never forget.

Scott was very personable and accommodating. A few days before our tour we were apprised of the fire situation and its potential impact on our trip. Contrary to the media, the area of our tour was not affected. We had a beautiful day for our time in the Blue Mountains. In addition to taking our own pictures, Scott had a camera as well and took many pictures of the two of us at various attractions. At one point my husband wanted to take a different hike than I was up for so Scott adjusted the itinerary to accommodate both of us. We had a great time and were able to enjoy our time in the Blue Mountain area.

We had booked the Blue Mountain tour but due to the fires we were unable to go there. Julia did give us a very good tour of Sydney and the Featherdale Wildlife Park. She was very personable and knowledgeable of the area and its history. While we were disappointed to miss the Blue Mountains, Julia ensured we had an enjoyable day.

We had a wonderful tour with Scott. Incredibly personable and knowledgeable... it could not have been more enjoyable or insightful. He truly takes the time to identify your preferences and customizes the day to your interests. We love to hike and he knew exactly what to recommend. I am definitely highly recommending to my adult children visiting soon that booking any tour with Scott should be a “must” on their travel plans. Impeccable service and lovely experience!

Thanks to Scott for the Blue Mountains tour! Amazing Blue Mountain views, delightful time sharing homemade cookies with cockatoos and meeting kangaroos & koalas! I highly recommend Sydney Day Tours to help make your holiday most special!

My wife and I booked the Blue Mountains Luxury Private Tour with Scott. Thoroughly enjoyed our time with Scott. Extremely knowledgeable of the region and easily shares his experiences. Everything is inclusive in the price of the tour, including all entry tickets to the various attractions, plus lunch. And best of all is you won't have to wait behind the bus tours to gain entry, Scott will whisk you right to the front. If you want to learn more in a single day versus riding in the bus and listening to the tour guide talk to 40 people, book with Scott. It's like spending the day with family. His vehicle was very comfortable and sight-lines were excellent. The Australian bush fires were active in the mountains during our tour, but we still enjoyed the limited views. The trip to Featherdale was fantastic, we got to play with and feed the Kangaroos and pet a Koala. We finished with a city tour. Highly recommend this tour.
