Rosie's Cafe is in the heart of the tiny village of Johns River just north of Taree. Nestled in the arms of the Three Brothers the area has long been known for its natural beauty. Rosie\u2019s is a vision of picture postcard rusticity and is the home of \u201Crusticuisine\u201D, locally grown, seasonally based, good, simple food prepared by Rosie's food evangelist Luke, who sources the majority of his ingredients from the Caf\u00E9\u2019s own kitchen gardens which are chemical and pesticide free. The gardens are enriched by the in-situ worm towers which recycle the caf\u00E9s green waste into organic fertilizer. The basic menu is always embellished with specials featuring seasonal ingredients, and there is always something decadent for dessert, if you have never tried Luke\u2019s Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie then you are in for an indulgent treat. Rosie's also has a Gallery, currently on exhibit are the works of local artist Judy Bray. Rosie\u2019s gift shop is located within the Gallery area where you will find some delightful and unique gifts, beautiful decorator pieces for the home and delightful bath, body & beauty products as well as pre-loved clothing, ceramics and hand made jewellery. Rosie's also has a great range of cookbooks and gourmet products. The courtyard offers covered outdoor dining or relax under a shady umbrella and enjoy a perfect cup of Holy Goat coffee with your meal or a slice of delicious house made cake. We even have our own resident ghost. Her name is Amy and she is often glimpsed through a window or heard whispering in the Gallery.
